Website

At the top of the site there is a booking engine where you can check the availability of rooms and prices in various hostels. Choose a hostel, arrival and departure dates, and number of guests. Clickable black colored dates means rooms are available. Unclickable gray colored dates means rooms are unavailable
An order cannot be updated. In case of need to update a order, it is necessary to call the hostel directly where the reservation was made. Updating the number of guests / adding or removing a room / changing the date - subject to the availability of the rooms at that time.
Immediately after completing the order, you will receive an order confirmation email.
For security reasons - upon initial entry to the order file, a confirmation code will be sent.
1. Click on the link "order details" highlighted in blue 2. Enter the email address with which the order was placed 3. Choose how to receive the personal code (mobile / email) and click on "Continue".
4. Upon sending the password reset request, you will be sent the personal code that must be entered in order to enter the order file.
Please note:
You can cancel the order as long as you have not entered the period of cancellation conditions which are less than 7 days before arrival.

You can book up to 5 rooms in one order on the website.

HI Israel reserves the right to charge the credit card whose details were provided when making the reservation, starting 48 hours before the booked accommodation date.

Orders

Yes, we are prepared to provide a key to the room after business hours too, but it is recommended to notify the hostel staff in advance.
Late departure requires an additional fee for each room, and notifying the hostel staff in advance or by adding a note when making the reservation.
Several hostels have new wings. You can upgrade your room reservation according to the availability on the date of accommodation by phone calling the hostel.
Some of the rooms in the various hostels face an special view (Kinneret / Dead Sea, etc.). It is not possible to reserve or commit to receiving these rooms. The cost of all rooms is the same (except for an upgraded room), and the room assignment is done by the hostel staff. Facing the view can be requested in a message when making the reservation and the staff will do their best to respond to this request, without obligation.

Hostel

It is not possible to light a fire or a barbecue in all the areas of the hostel, in all the chain's hostels.
Gathering rooms are possible in coordination with the hostel staff. Additional payment may apply.
Animals cannot be brought into the premises of the chain's hostels, except for a service animal. An appropriate proof must be held.
The HI Israel membership card allows you to stay at the hostels in Israel at discounted rates (10% discount off the price of the accommodation), and is valid for one year from the date of purchase. For prices and methods of purchase - click here
Pools are available in 3 hostels:

You should be informed about the dates of the swimming season.
There are hostels that offer free parking on the premises of the hostel or near them, but not all, so it is recommended to ask about it at the hostel.
In all the chain's hostels there are lecture rooms with light and sound equipment for a variety of uses as a solution for various activities. Renting these rooms is set with the hostel staff.
The chain's hostels will be able to assist in keeping belongings in a designated room.
All the chain's hostels have 24/7 guarding and security.
Each of the chain's hostels has a synagogue that is open to the hostel's guests, and contains Torah scrolls and siddurim.
Each hostel has kosher supervision of the local rabbinate depending on its location. When booking groups with a minimum number of guests, Glat kosher and Mehadrin meals can be ordered at additional costs. orders must be made to the hostel staff in advance.

Rooms

In each room you can find: air conditioning, a shower, a toilet, a refrigerator, WiFi, a TV and a coffee set.
It is forbidden to cook or turn on an electric stove inside the room.
Room check-in at 3:00 p.m.
Room should be vacated by 10:00 AM.
We take into consideration that our guests often come with the extended family or a group of friends, therefore we do everything possible to provide rooms next to each other for the benefit of the "together" experience. However, it should be taken into consideration that sometimes there may be constraints that will not allow this.
Some rooms have a connecting door. To book rooms with a connecting door, a phone reservation is required, subject to availability.
There are several sizes of rooms: a room with a single bed, a double room with 2 beds, family rooms with 3-5 beds and even a large room containing 6 beds. The availability of the different rooms varies between the different dates.
In the past, the hostel had shared rooms, but with the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, they are no longer offered.
In the double room and in the family room, the parent's bed is arranged as two connected single beds and not a regular double bed.
The Bunk beds have been symbolizing the HI Israel hostels over the years. You will most likely encounter the bunk beds in the family rooms.
Each room have bath towels for our guests.
Yes, you will find toiletries in each room.
Yes, every room has an air conditioner.
No, the rooms do not have safes.
Rooms are cleaned and towels are changed in the room every day.

Dining Room

This can be arranged in some hostels in advance for an additional fee.
Meal times vary between the hostels of the chain but range from:
  • Breakfast: 7:00-9:00 am
  • Dinner: 6:30-8:00 pm
Israeli breakfast including omelettes, cheeses, vegetables, fruits, cereals, pastries, juices and hot drinks.
A meat dinner includes a first course, a main course, a selection of salads, dessert, juices and hot drinks.
This is an accommodation base suitable for Shabbat observers, which includes:
  • Friday dinner
  • Coffee and cake before morning prayer on Shabbat
  • Meat lunch
  • Seudah shlishit
