The educational activities at HI-Tel Hai hostel provide an in-depth understanding of settlement in the Galilee Panhandle.
The 3-D model situated at the site’s spectacular lookout point, an audiovisual presentation and a fun general-knowledge quiz introduce participants to milestones in the region’s development – the Battle of Tel Hai, the Hula swamp drainage project, the War over the water origins and more.
The program also focuses on the ideological and life-or-death issues that shaped the area – borders, living in the shadow of a security threat, people and nature, etc.

The Pki’in educational center offers a wide range of activities to enrich the experience of visitors to the village of Pki’in. An audiovisual presentation and interactive quiz at the hostel take viewers on a journey between past and present and among the different ethnic communities of Pki’in, enabling them to get to know the Druze community, its heritage and features. In addition, a unique encounter with the village is offered through guided tours, meetings and home hospitality, proving that coexistence is not just a dream.

Can conflicts in Israeli society be dealt with differently? Has Red lines, managing disputes in a society with multiple identities, social engagement and meaningful citizenship – HI’s education center at HI Rabin Jerusalem addresses these issues and more.
The programs allow for the joint processing of current issues that are of concern to Israeli society.
The center offers seminars, workshops, tours and an audiovisual presentation, “Red Lines in Israel’s Democracy.”

HI Masada

Duration of activity: One hour (the audiovisual presentation is 30 minutes long)

At HI Masada, visitors can see an audiovisual presentation, “News of the Great Revolt.”
The presentation reviews the dramatic events that occurred in the period of the revolt (66–73 CE), and while watching, the audience can take an active role by participating in an interactive survey. Visitors can also take part in an exciting trivia competition on the subject of the Judean Desert and the Dead Sea, their flora and fauna, and humanity and the desert.
The winner will be crowned “King of the Dead Sea!”

In “A brief navigation in the heart of the desert,” participants embark on an exciting adventure in the city of Mitzpe Ramon. Equipped with a navigation map, tasks and puzzles, they learn about and get to know the diversity and singular features of the city.
