Hostelling International (HI) Israel was founded in 1937 as a non-profit organization under the Ministry of Education’s Youth and Social Administration.

HI Israel is a non-profit public organization, and its main areas of activity are providing affordable hosteling, tourism and tour-guiding for individuals, families and groups from Israel and abroad, all for an affordable budget. HI Israel is a pioneer in adopting international quality and excellence standards in the fields of hosteling, tourism and tour guides.
